The Microsoft Fabric is supported by Power BI Premium P SKUs. Microsoft Fabric is not supported by SKUs A and EM.

Power BI Licensing

  • Consuming Power BI material requires a Pro license for SKUs smaller than F64.It implies that a pro or PPU license is necessary for Power BI developers and users to see the reports if you select SKUs less than F64.
  • The important thing to note in this situation is that the introduction of Fabric has had no impact on Power BI licensing. You still have the EM, A, and P SKUs for dedicated capacity licenses in addition to the Free, Pro, and PPU user-based licenses, and they all function as they did before. Everything will remain the same for you if you choose not to use any of the Fabric services (apart from Power BI), in which case nothing will change.
